Dexterity Brand is a Registered NDIS Provider
Assistive technology (or AT), as defined by the World Health Organisation, is 'any device or system that allows individuals to perform tasks they would otherwise be unable to do or increases the ease and safety with which tasks can be performed'.
Information on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) regarding Assistive Technology can be found here:
Dexterity Brand has registered with NDIS to make it easy for NDIS Participants with managed budgets to have their clothing funded by the NDIS if it meets their goals.
How to order if you are an NDIS Participant.
If you have a "self managed budget" for support items you can either:
a) purchase the items you want and provide the receipt to NDIS for reimbursement, or
b) contact us and ask us to provide you with an invoice which you claim through the scheme and then pay us.
If your NDIS plan and budget is managed by a provider, you will need to request your provider organise a quote for the items via the online NDIS system (PRODA).
Is an AT Assessment required?
In most cases, no.
Our products would be considered "AT complexity Level 1 (basic)" in that they are "low-cost, low-risk and participants will mostly identify and source this themselves".
